Maksim Chmerkovskiy is back on his dancing feet and eyeing his return to the competition floor.

The injured "Dancing with the Stars" pro underwent surgery to repair a torn calf muscle earlier this week and updated fans on his recovery in an Instagram post on Saturday. Chmerkovskiy can be seen testing out a couple moves in the video clip, which had the caption "Therapy day 3 post calf muscle tear, progress check…" and hashtags ##MyDocIsBetterThanYours and #ModernDayMiracles.

The 37-year-old ends the clip by saying, "It's getting there. Almost."

Chmerkovskiy suffered the calf injury during a March 24 rehearsal with his partner, "Glee" actress Heather Morris, and subsequently missed the ABC series' week two performance. Four days prior to his injury, Chmerkovskiy and Morris scored a 28 out of 40 for their Viennese waltz in the "DWTS" season 24 premiere.

In her Ukrainian partner's absence, Morris has teamed with Alan Bersten until Chmerkovskiy can fully recover. This week, the judges gave Morris and Bersten' performance a 30 out of 40 after dancing the jive to the song "Grown" by Little Mix.

"Dancing with the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 PM ET/7 PM CT on ABC.
